Alberta Wildfire Victims – Assistance Available
Alberta Movers wants to help get the word out that there is help available for Alberta residents that were displaced by the Slave Lake wildfires. The government of Alberta is working with partner agencies to identify and address options that are available for short term and long term temporary housing for those moving to Alberta after being dislocated by the wildfires.
The Alberta Emergency Accommodation Program is available to provincial residents who can't find and/or can't afford temporary housing. The housing assistance program is helping to place people and covers up to one hundred percent of housing costs through August. Many of the residential units are located in the Edmonton area. Displaced residents who need long term housing assistance must register with the Red Cross by calling 1-800-565-4483, and completing a housing needs form online at www.wildfiresupport.alberta.ca.
Our Alberta moving company is ready to assist Slave Lake residents with all their Canada relocation needs. Special consideration will be given to those residents moving back to Alberta.
